German Roach Prep

✅ Before Your Roach Treatment

Pest Solutions will be servicing your property for pest control.
To receive the maximum benefit from our service, please follow the preparation steps below carefully.
Being only partially ready will not solve your roach problem, so please be prepared!

✅ Kitchen Preparation

  • Remove all dishes, pots, pans, and food from upper and lower cabinets, including the pantry.
  • Stack all kitchen items on a table and cover them with a sheet.
  • Do not place anything on the sink, stove, countertop, or kitchen floor.
  • Remove all loose paper from shelves (adhesive shelf liner may remain).
  • After treatment, you may wash countertops, stovetops, and breadboards only.
  • Do not wash cabinets — the treatment continues to work in cracks and crevices.

✅ Kitchen Drawers

  • Remove all drawers from cabinets and empty them completely.
  • Place drawers against the kitchen wall.
  • Insects often hide in drawers, so it’s important they remain empty during treatment.

✅ Bedrooms and Closets

  • Remove all items from closet floors.
  • Hanging clothes may be pulled toward the center of the rack.
  • If the closet is infested, remove all contents completely for proper treatment.

✅ Bathrooms

  • Remove everything from bathroom cabinets, drawers, and counters.
  • Don’t forget items stored under the sink.

✅ Furniture

  • Move all furniture 2–3 feet away from walls so technicians can treat cracks, crevices, and baseboards.

✅ Animals, Birds, Fish & Reptiles

  • Remove all pets, birds, fish, snakes, and reptiles from the premises.
  • If a fish tank is too heavy to move:
    • Place wet towels over the tank,
    • Disconnect the air pump, and
    • Wrap the air pump in plastic.
  • Some fish breeds can survive 4–6 hours without aeration, but check with your fish dealer first.
  • All birds, reptiles, and exotic pets may return after 24 hours.

✅ Keys

  • Make sure you have your keys — technicians lock all doors upon leaving.

⏰ Time to Stay Out

Please stay out of the treated area for the recommended duration:

  • Healthy adults: 3–4 hours
  • Elderly adults: 4–6 hours (check with your doctor)
  • Children over 2 years old: 6–8 hours
  • Anyone with respiratory issues, asthma, or allergies: 6–8 hours
  • Infants and toddlers: 6–8 hours

Labels and Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available upon request.

⚠️ Important Notes After Treatment

  • ✅ Wait until all treated surfaces are completely dry before putting items back in cabinets, closets, or drawers.
  • 🚫 Do not wash cabinets — this removes the protective chemical barrier.
  • ⚠️ You may see more roaches immediately after treatment. This is normal as the insects emerge from hiding and encounter the product.

🧹 Reminder

Complete preparation is essential.
Being only partially ready will delay your results and may require rescheduling of service.
